Virtualization techniques in HERMES

The hardware technology of embedded real-time systems has resulted into very powerful, reliable and cost-effective multi-core platforms. This trend has increased interest in software architectures where multiple applications share a multi-core platform as the best solution for embedded real-time systems.

The growing need to reduce size, weight, power consumption, and cost of applications in various markets such as aerospace, automotive,

HERMES Project gets presented at HIPEAC 2022

The HiPEAC conference is the premier European forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for general-purpose, embedded and cyber-physical systems. Areas of focus and integration include safety-critical dependencies, cybersecurity, energy efficiency and machine learning.

Budapest hosted the HiPEAC 2022 conference last week in which more than 370 professionals from various IT fields attended the

PandA framework 0.9.8 released

We are glad to announce a new release of the PandA-bambu project, an open-source framework for research in high-level synthesis and HW/SW co-design.

Panda Bambu is an open-source framework aimed at assisting the designer during the high-level synthesis of complex applications, supporting most of the C constructs. It is developed for Linux systems, it is written in C++11, and its

Bambu tutorial at ISC 22 conference

ISC is an event for high performance computing, machine learning and data analytics. ISC 2022 was the first in-person conference and exhibition since the pandemic.

The 2022 event was held held in Hamburg from May 29 to June 2.

High-level synthesis tool Bambu presented on Sunday at ISC High Performance 2022 in Hamburg. The tutorial, Modern High-Level Synthesis for Complex Data

Bambu tutorial at DATE 2022 conference: Modern High-Level Synthesis…

The goals of this tutorial are to introduce participants to challenges and opportunities in the implementation of high-level productive programming frameworks to silicon compilers and to provide a hands-on on a set of open-source state-of-the-art tools (SODA-OPT and PandA-Bambu HLS) whose integration enables such a no-human-in-the-loop compilation framework.

Applications considered: machine learning and graph analytics.
